New Workshop - Emotional Child Abuse

Marlene Davis

Marlene Davis is dedicated to helping parents and teachers build strong, positive relationships with their children and overcome the stress that can take the fun out of teaching.

Children

"Children learn what they live." The old methods of punishment and rewards used by our parents and grandparents is no longer effective. It is difficult for children to accept subservience when no one models this for them. On the other hand, permissiveness is not acceptable.

For discipline to be effective, change must be made in the way we discipline our children that reflects principles of respect and equality of human worth. Positive discipline teaches self-discipline, self-control, responsibility, cooperation and problem-solving skills.
