Don't eat Charlie!
Marlene's parents own a small farm in her home town of Trujillo, Peru. There, they raised ducks, chickens, turkeys, roosters, pigs, and guinea pigs. Since Marlene was a young girl, she grew up with the belief that guinea pigs were nothing more than food, to be eaten on special occassions.
One day, however, during summertime her daughter Alexa asked her mom to go to the pet store so that she could adopt a rabbit. And thus began the story of Charlie.

This book, recounting the story of Charlie, is written in both English and Spanish.
